Cookies and browser storage

We use only the cookies the site needs to work and to remember the choices you make. There are no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies, and nothing here is shared with an advertiser, so we do not ask for cookie consent. This page lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage the site uses. It goes with our Privacy page.
Browser storage
The site also keeps small things in your browser’s own storage, which is not sent to us with each page. “Until you clear it” means it stays on your device until you clear your browser’s site data. Drafts and the like never leave your device unless you send them. Names with <film> carry the id of one of your films.

What else loads
- Counting visits. We count visits to our public pages with Umami, which runs on our own server: it sets no cookie, keeps no IP address and shares nothing. It respects your browser’s “Do Not Track”. It is not loaded inside the app.
- Bot check. On the sign-in and sign-up pages, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person. It is loaded from Cloudflare and does not set a cookie of its own; it may keep short-lived check data in your browser’s storage while you are on those pages.
- Signing in with Google, and paying. When you choose Google, or pay by card, you go to Google’s or Stripe’s own page. Their cookies belong to them and follow their policies. We do not control them.
- Fonts and pictures are served from our own address. We do not load them from other companies.
- Older films. If one of your older films is kept on Google Drive and our own player cannot play it, the page may show Google Drive’s own player instead. Google’s cookies then apply to that player. Films made now are not.
Your choices
